We believe it is important in this day of questionable practices in public ministry to affirm our commitment to godliness and Christian ethics. In recognition of the high calling of God upon an individual to public ministry, I am firmly committed to and in agreement with the following principles of Christian ethics, and will endeavor to faithfully practice such as a minister of the Gospel and a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Church:

I. MY PERSONAL LIFE * Establish and maintain personal habits and disciplines of spiritual, mental, and physical growth and health that are consistent with Scripture. * Faithfully provide for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of my family according to Ephesians 5 and I Timothy 3. * Demonstrate personal purity and holiness in my relationships with others and in my personal habits. * Be faithful in prayer and study of God's Word. * Demonstrate honesty and integrity in the use of my finances and personal resources as a steward of God, and promote a healthy expectation by others in my profession. * Cultivate a lifestyle that is honoring to Christ and presents a positive witness for the Lord Jesus Christ and His church among the unchurched and other believers.

II. I. Doctrinal Statement of Deaf Evangelism And Fellowship, Inc.

Deaf Evangelism And Fellowship believes:

In the plenary (fully), verbal (equally every word) inspiration of the Scriptures and their absolute reliability and authority, without error, in the original manuscripts.

In one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections.

In the virgin birth, atoning death, bodily resurrection, and deity of Jesus Christ.

That man is a fallen creature, sinful by nature and choice, can only become a child of God by regeneration by a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit.

That salvation is by repentant faith in Christ as our substitute, on the merits of His atoning death and shed blood.

In Christ’s premillennial second coming (by which we mean the pretribulation rapture position, and the imminent return of Christ).

In the eternal security and full enjoyment of God’s presence for the saved, and in the eternal punishment in Hell for the lost.

In the need for a personal provision of power, by the Holy Spirit, who already lives in the body of each Christian.

In the duty of each Christian to live a holy life, to make soul winning the main end of all Christian work; that God’s Great Commission never changes as the principal obligation of churches and Christians.

In Baptism by immersion of the believer by the authority of the local church, symbolizing the death and burial to the old life of sin, and resurrection of the new life in Christ.

The Lord’s Supper is an ordinance to be observed by the local church to symbolize the Lord’s death until His second coming.
